Doin' it in public
What people are saying:
"I think this Stormin The Outdoors idea is awesome. Its good to see places I know, well hunted with enthusiasm, and with such great respect for the sport and wildlife. I get tired of watching half-hour programs where pros bag one massive buck after another, on ridiculously over-managed properties. You, sir, are the real fricken deal"T.R. Johnstown, PA"This is such a cool idea! You never know whats going to happen. Not like the other outdoor shows... who wants to watch a game that they already know who wins!"K.K. Loretto, PA"

What we do:
We are a couple of "regular" hunters (though by what we do, you'll see that we're anything but "regular"). This is our second year of filming our hunts, and we hope that this year is a lot smoother than last year. The great thing about our videos is that we don't own or lease any land. We hunt all public land and very few areas that we gain permission to hunt. Hence the phrase "Doin' it in public".We all work full time jobs and pay for all of our own equipment. Hopefully someday that will change and we can start testing some new stuff, but I promise you this, we will NEVER recommend a product that we would not personally spend our own, hard earned money on.Thanks for stopping, enjoy the site, and good luck to you all!

Well, I'm not sure where to begin, so I guess I'll start with the picture. That's me and my dad in 2007, with the nicest buck I’ve ever taken. It was shot on state game lands, about ten minutes away from my house. My dad studied some topographical maps, picked a spot where he had killed some deer in previous years, and at 8 am on the first day, I was in the right place at the right time. My dad has taught me most everything I know. We have spent countless hours in the woods chasing deer, turkeys, squirrels, groundhogs, well, just about everything. He has always been there for me in every aspect of my life, but my love of the outdoors is something really special that I can attribute to the way I was raised, and my dad. Stormin the Outdoors was something that I have wanted to do for a long time now. I am 31 years old and work full time as a bartender. Finding time to hunt is sometimes difficult because my schedule is so hectic, but I get out every chance I get. It’s especially tough when I'm working until three in the morning, and have to be in my stand at five, but I make it work. So if I look a little blurry in some of the videos, it’s not your TV. That’s pretty much it. I’m a regular guy that loves the outdoors. Stormin The Outdoors is something that I have wanted to do for a very long time, and I finally said, "Let’s do it". I’m fortunate enough to have a great family and great friends. That’s what makes this whole thing work, and it’s what this whole hunting culture is all about. Family, friends, and the memories we make. I don't know where this thing is going, but I can tell you this, I’m going to have a blast doing it, for as long as I can. I hope you all enjoy it. I know for sure, I'll enjoy making every second of everything you see. Thanks again.

Well, first Id like to introduce my 3 wonderful kids Brennan, Chance and Elliana. They are the light of my life, and I cant wait til they are the ones hunting while I film. I am in the PA National Guard where I work on Apache and Blackhawk helicopters full time. I have been in the outdoors since I can remember. I grew up in a small coal mining town in west-central PA. We lived on the top street of the town so our backyard was miles of woods. I can remember my dad telling me the story of my first trip to the great outdoors, He took me up the trail behind the house, when he put me down I walked right off the trail and straight into the jagger bushes. I have been hunting Ruffed Grouse with my dad and brother since I can remember. At the age of 12 I bagged my 1st grouse with my Stevens single shot 20 gauge hammer action. This shotgun was my fathers’ when he was younger and he handed it down to me, I plan on passing it on to my oldest son Brennan in the next year or two. About my hunting views; First let’s talk Grouse. My father, brother and I like to Grouse hunt as much as we can. We have one "Golden Rule" NEVER shoot a Grouse on the ground. . We have days that we have as few as 10 flushes and then we have days that we have over 50 flushes. All I am going to say about where we hunt Grouse is its all public land, nothing is posted or fenced in. A bit on deer hunting. Yes I live in PA, and if you don’t know our deer population is not what it used to be. We have gotten some people in charge of making decisions about our deer seasons that have really hurt the deer herds. I am not against shooting a doe but I am select on how and where I harvest one. First I will not shot a doe the "first day". I will harvest a doe the second week if I am in an area where I have been seeing an abundance of deer. I am getting very much into archery hunting and I have yet to take my first deer with a bow. However once Flintlock season comes around I am hunting to put meat on my table for my family. I am not a "trophy" hunter, in fact I have only ever taken 2 bucks my entire life, an 8pt when I was 18, and a 5pt when I was 29. Hunting to me is not all about going out and killing something. I live for just being in the woods no matter what I may be doing, whether it is just out for a walk with my sons, scouting for deer or turkeys, hunting, itself is more about spending time and making great memories with family and friends
